Our story is woven into the rich history of Miami Beach. Originally called the Golden Dawn, The Penguin Hotel was designed in 1948 by the legendary Henry Hohauser. Its iconic “horizontality” shines through with sleek strip windows and a bold front railing. The exterior remains a timeless piece of history, while inside, modern updates—most recently in 2018—ensure a fresh and comfortable stay for our guests. With nature-inspired décor, modern rooms, and breakfast included, steps from nightlife and golden sand, there's no better place to stay. Around the corner, you’ll find our sister hotel, The President on Collins Avenue, and if you’re into rooftop pools, enjoy access to President Villa, where poolside bliss awaits.

Full American Breakfast Buffet

Our daily breakfast buffet, currently available hotel guests at our sister hotel, The President on Collins Avenue, is included in your stay ($30 value per person, per day). Enjoy fresh fruit, pastries, and hot breakfast items before exploring South Beach.

The new rooftop pool at the President Villa, a recently constructed wing of the hotel, is accessible to all Penguin Hotel guests, and features breathtaking views of Miami.

Parking

Ocean drive is closed for vehicular traffic, valet parking is located in our sister property "the President hotel"

  • Valet Parking - Limitless in and out privileges until 12 p.m. in the following day. $48.15 for regular cars & $64.20 for SUVs.
  • Street parking - $4/hr in between white lines only.
  • Public garages - $2/hr and $20-25/24 hrs (rates may vary).
